Today I’m showing you how to wear an effortless wrap maxi dress, and how to fit it in all your weekend plans. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’ve worn this dress a multitude of ways, but in this post I want to feature something that’s a bit dressier, though still appropriate for daytime.

One of the main reasons I love this dress is that it’s effortless. I’m all about that chic, just threw it on but it looks amazing, look and this piece definitely delivers. The print is a little loud, but the colors aren’t too vibrant, and purple is great for all seasons. I love that it can hide a food baby or two with it’s loose cut, and wraps around the waist to accentuate the smallest part of the torso. I paired it with these lace-up white heeled sandals, and the white of the print coordinates with the sandals to pull everything together. This is a great hack in general- if you’re wearing a multi-colored print, pick a shoe that matches one of the colors; it gives an outfit structure.

This outfit could be worn to a Labor Day BBQ or a house party. It’s great for a patio, but could also function well in a more formal restaurant setting.

I hope everyone is prepping for a fun Labor Day weekend. I’m in Minnesota visiting my parents, and tonight we’re headed to the lake for the weekend with Greg’s family. I’ll have a full recap of my trip on the blog next week, as well as reasons you should definitely put MN on your travel list- if only for next summer. For now you can follow me daily on Instagram and Insta Stories.
