Valentine’s Day Outfit Inspiration with AU|Rate New York

Happy Wednesday!

It’s almost the start of February (where has this month gone??), and that means gearing up for Valentine’s Day. Now I’m not one of those girls who gets giddy about a hallmark holiday or anything like that, but I do enjoy dressing up in something nice and enjoying a good meal at a romantic restaurant. What girl doesn’t?

So, if we can all agree that deep down we all want to be loved (whether it be romantically, or by your family, or by friends) and Valentine’s Day is a wonderful day to appreciate and honor that love, we can move on to more important matters at hand. Like what to wear. And today I want to give you ladies some inspiration for jewelry and accessories. Because the right details can make or break the look.

I love discovering new brands, and AU|Rate New York was an amazing find! They just launched a new collection, so your pieces will be sure to be unique and stand out from the crowd.

I recently stumbled upon a new jewelry brand that perfectly mixes edgy, classy, and trendy.  And that’s a hard note to strike. But AU|Rate has that totally effortless vibe all New York women seem to give off, and at a really affordable price point.

A little bit about AU|Rate, who are they? The brand was created in 2015, by two women over brunch (how all the best ideas start, right?). The founders, Sophie Kahn and Bouchra Ezzahraoui wanted to create a jewelry line that was accessible in both style and price. So, they created AU|Rate, and it’s taken off on the fashion scene ever since. And as I mentioned earlier, they just launched a new collection.

For Valentine’s Day, I’m thinking this diamond bar pendant is the perfect addition to a little black (or red) dress. It’s dainty, but has enough sparkle to make a classic look extra glamorous. I’m especially loving this dress with these boots (trust me you’ll have them forever, they are worth the investment). Pair the necklace with these funky, yet still totally matching cuff diamond earrings.

If you’re going somewhere a little more casual, or your style is a little bit eccentric, go for these clustered earrings. I love the idea of them with a flower printed dress, especially something flowy, like this one. This black diamond ring would look so cool stacked with this pearl one, paired with a fitted top and black skinny jeans. And this ring would look amazing with just about any outfit, but I would love to style it as a statement piece and keep all other accessories minimal.

Some other AU|Rate pieces I’m loving is this simple charm necklace, which I would wear with anything every day, but would look really feminine with something red for Valentine’s Day. I also have my eye on this gold bracelet stacked with this black stone one.

You can shop AUrate Online, but they recently opened a brick and mortar store in Georgetown neighborhood of Washington D.C. if you prefer to try things before purchasing. And if you’re in New York, they’ve got a location in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

I love jewelry that looks expensive, but is totally affordable for us hard working hustlers just trying to look stylish on a budget. AU|Rate has the chic effortless vibe down, and I love anything that’s able to be styled for many occasions and ways.

Have you heard of AU|Rate before? I love discovering cool new brands like this one! Make sure to also check them out on Instagram.
