This look is simple, and was easy to style, but I am obsessed with how soft this tank is, and how it can literally work with any outfit this summer. I have been wearing it non-stop since I bought it a couple weeks ago. I wanted this look to be a little more romantic, while still being casual, and I think this dreamy loft skirt achieved just that.

Orange cardigan, blush flats

Wearing: Cardigan- Loft (similar options with several colors), Skirt- Zara, Shoes- 3.1. Phillip Lim, Sunglasses- Michael Kors (lots of options), Jewelry- Midori Linea

It hasn’t really felt much like May the last couple days, or even weeks, and I wanted to style an option that was still bright, fun, but more weather appropriate. I love a big pop of color, and though there might be such a thing as too much color, I really like the way the deep orange of the cardigan goes with the blush of the flats.

Red dress, white sandals

Wearing: Dress- Zara, Sandals- Coach (on sale!), Cardigan- Old (similar here),

Red is one of my favorite colors to wear basically all year round. It’s flattering and in many cases can pass as a neutral. This particular Zara dress has been a longtime go-to, and I’ve been able to style it many ways, but always love this minimalist, classically chic look.

Pops of Color

Wearing: Dress- Calvin Klein, Shoes- 3.1 Phillip Lim (unfortunately they’re currently sold out – similar here), Scarf- Ralph Lauren (similar and other print options here), Cardigan- Theory, Bag- Rebecca Minkoff, Sunglasses- Michael Kors

I’ve talked about styling this dress in this post, but I find myself wearing it with such frequency that it’s worth another look. Back in the winter I was adding some tights, a pair of cute boots, but now that it’s officially springtime, I really feel like color to contrast a classic black is the way to go.

Shirt dresses and leather jackets

Wearing: Dress- Alexander Wang, Jacket- All Saints, Shoes- Schutz Shoes, Sunglasses- Michael Kors, Bag- Rebecca Minkoff

I’m really into shirt dresses now. They’r crisp, easy, and so very versatile. I’ll definitely be wearing this white one a lot these warmer months. It’s a bit of a looser fit, and pairs well with light jackets, but also is great by itself. Everyone should have such a classic in their wardrobe. I’m linking a couple favorites here and here.

Wearing: Dress- Zara, Jacket- INC, Boots- Via Spiga

Happy Monday!

I love red, and this Zara dress does not disappoint! Red is a universally flattering color and adds fun to a look without going overboard. I also think it’s a great color for those who are not big on patterns and prints, as this is definitely not boring, but again, also not too much. Continue reading

Wearing: Dress- Nasty Gal, Boots- Stuart Weitzman

There is nothing more stylish than a sweater dress and over-the-knee boots. Not to mention universally stylish to pull off. I want to make sure to squeeze a couple more of these looks before the weather changes, and my attention is focused completely on spring.

Go-to maxi dress

Maxi dresses are perfect for Spring. They’re a fun way to wear a dress and experiment with shape and print, while still being covered enough in case it gets chilly. I have had this green and purple print one for a couple years now, and I always break it out come March as my go-to transitional piece.

In the summer I pair it with sandals, but since it’s still February, I went with heeled booties. I’ve also been wearing this scalloped jacket everywhere (as you may have noticed from blog posts and Instagram), and it is just such a great layer to complete this look. I actually felt a very boho chic vibe wearing this outfit, perfect for an outdoor concert of festival. I think partly it had to do with the hair; I switched up my regular look slightly, by twisting a few pieces and pinning them in the back.

Speaking of hair, I’ve really only recently begun to sport the waves, and am still perfecting the technique. But I think it’s a look that not only works great for my face, but is also super stylish and effortless. I want to do a hair post soon, so be on the lookout.

This weekend I was able to go shopping and I picked up the most amazing Zac Posen bag, with the most gorgeous details! I can’t wait to style it, and the color and shape is perfect for Spring and Summer. I hope everyone has a fabulous start to the week, and I’ll definitely be sharing more transitional outfit ideas!
