The Wynwood Art District was probably my favorite spot (besides the beach of course) that we got the opportunity to go to in Miami. It’s maybe only a couple streets, but essentially it’s a giant outdoor art gallery comprised entirely of large murals that fill up entire walls. It was so cool, a little difficult to put into words. The art is absolutely beautiful, and I really want my home to have an accent mural wall. I don’t know if Greg would agree to that, but I will certainly try to convince him!
As you can probably tell from the pictures, I got incredibly sunburned. I have no idea how this happened as I was very cautious about applying sunscreen. It also seems like only my left leg turned incredibly red. So it’s been a bit of an awkward go skin wise the last week, but I’m hoping everything will start to even out soon. Besides that though, the beach was fabulous, and I love that I did get darker. And I really wanted to show off with this strapless, blush ruffle dress.
I got this dress at Lou Lou Boutiques. They have a couple cute locations around D.C., both clothing and accessories stores. I’m always looking at their window displays as I’m walking by, because there’s always dreamy new dresses to fantasize about. I feel like a cupcake in it, but paired with the right accessories, it doesn’t have to look over done. I kept the rest of the outfit really casual with my new go-to Dolce Vita slides in white, and my take everywhere Zac Posen bag with the flower details. I didn’t layer on any necklaces because I really think the ruffle speaks for itself. These kinds of dresses are so cute for the summer, and really on trend, so I’ve linked a couple others I’m liking here and here (on sale!).
I’ll be posting some more late spring, early summer outfits on the blog soon, giving you styling ideas, and linking similar options. Stay tuned!
