Red is one of my favorite colors to wear basically all year round. It’s flattering and in many cases can pass as a neutral. This particular Zara dress has been a longtime go-to, and I’ve been able to style it many ways, but always love this minimalist, classically chic look.
I’m particularly fond of how easy this is to slip on, and how with the white line detail, the shift shape, and the keyhole in the back, you really don’t need a lot of accessories. It speaks for itself and I definitely reach for it when I’m at a loss of what to wear because I know it will just work. I’ve linked a couple other Spring and Summer dresses I’m eyeing that are the best mix between effortless and statement making here and here.
Lace-up sandals are a big trend this season, and I just love the ones I have on. I feel like I can wear them to the office and they transition perfectly into happy hour or dinner after. Classic but also on point. What more can you ask for? Often when I’m looking for a neutral shoe, I turn to black, but more recently I’ve started gravitating towards white. I just bought these adorable studded white slides that I can’t wait to rock on my trip to Miami in two weeks (it’s really coming up!).
And to make this outfit just a tad more work wear appropriate, I slipped on a figure flattering navy cardigan. I’ve had it forever, and will need to start replacing it with some summer-friendly pieces like this kimono and this vest.
Does everyone have fun weekend plans? We’re supposed to get a heat wave here in D.C. so I’ll definitely be drinking a lot of rosé and pulling out those shorts and sundresses.
