Let’s talk about this white fur vest. Usually reserved for the winter seasons, you wouldn’t think to break it out for Spring. But why not? They’re absolutely perfect for this transitional weather!
They keep you warm (which is practically important), but also current and stylish (which may be much more important). A vest is also a really versatile piece; I can see it pairing equally as well with a dress and OTK heeled boots as it does with jeans. I went with white for mine, and I actually love this color much more than I thought I would, but other neutrals such as black, brown or beige would work as well. I’m linking this one that I really like, and this one (and it’s reversible!), which is absolutely drool worthy.
For this look I went with a more casual feel, as my mom and I were spending the day walking around town and taking pictures around the cherry blossoms. I paired the vest with a bright orange Loft sweater, and I think it’s such a fun color combination for the season. Muted down tones were great when everything was gray and dreary, but now that the sun is out longer and everything is blooming, I’m really working on incorporating color into my everyday wardrobe. You can get my exact one here and I’m digging this super cute and vibrant one. But to keep it from being too much, I styled a pair of my favorite, classic skinny jeans, which create a solid foundation for pretty much any outfit.
And then to keep with the spring vibes, I topped off the ensemble with my new leather peep-toes and my gorgeous flower embroidered Zac Posen bag. I have already mentioned I’m obsessed with his bags, right?
It’s back to regular programming for me this week, but I am looking forward to the sunshine, and I think I plan on styling this beautiful Alexander Wang shirtdress next, which is currently sold out, but I’m linking similar here and here (love how flirty the bottom is!). Stay tuned! In the meantime, you can keep up with me on my Instagram, whitesilkblackleather.
