When I was a kid, I never thought I would like wearing glasses. In fact, I avoided wearing them at all costs and was therefore unable to see the board in class (I clearly was not the most self-confident child). But when I was a kid, we didn’t have brands that made glasses look cool, chic, and stylish.
Thank god that’s changed, and I’ve embraced glasses as part of my look. I don’t wear them every day, but when I do, I totally rock it. I also rely on Warby Parker to make sure my eyewear is chic and affordable.
Warby Parker sells the most stylish frames, and at a price we can all get behind. I mean seriously, who wants to spend $600 on glasses?! You can get a pair at Warby Parker stating at $95. To celebrate the launch of their new collection I want to highlight a few of my favorites in both the eyeglasses collection and sunglasses collection, and give you a few styling ideas.
I’m currently loving eyeglasses with a colorful frame. There’s just something so fun and a little edgy about it. Of course, pink is a natural favorite, but I’m also drawn to the darker shades, like blue or purple. Snag a couple pairs in different colors and rotate depending on your outfit.
I would want the frames to pop, so I would style a color combo that matches with the frames. Pair your colorful frames with a boho dress (this pink flower print is adorable) and knee-high boots. If you’re going for the sexy modern librarian, style a pair of blue frames with this fitted sweater dress and a pair of black pumps. Make sure you check out the new eyewear collection to find out what color, shape, and fit will be best for you.
I also love thicker frames over thin, and Warby Parker has got plenty of thick frames to choose from. Your face shape may determine which fit you should go for; play around until you find something that works and make that your signature. I say go for something a little bold (life’s too short not to).
Speaking of bold, Warby Parker also launched their new sunglasses collection. A lot of the pieces look very vintage 70s inspired. I’m totally lusting over these tinted pink round spectacles. How chic would they look with a pair of flaired jeans and a this fitted top? And these army green tinted lenses, leopard framed sunnies may be a lot at first glance, but they totally add a level of oomph to a casual outfit. Tuck this bodysuit into a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans, and throw on this green jacket to layer. The tint of the sunglasses paired with the jacket will match, and also make the frames pop.
Sunglasses are one of my absolute favorite accessories and there are so many cool styles to choose from the Warby Parker collection! Head to the website to stock up on all your favorites.
And all of these looks would be perfect for Valentine’s Day. Adding a pair of glasses to your outfit is sexy, smart, and incredibly stylish.
