The perfect Sunday outfit is nothing without the perfect Sunday backdrop. A couple weeks ago, on an absolutely gorgeous afternoon, Greg and I headed to Georgetown to shoot this look.

Georgetown is such a charming neighborhood, with full leafy trees lining the cobblestone streets, and the who’s who of small boutiques and restaurants. There is so much life on the sidewalks. And though it isn’t what it used to be, if you step out on the side streets you find those familiar colorful townhouses, the history seeping through every brick.

For this shoot I wore a fun mini skirt in a deep blue hue. I love the skirt because of the layered detail and the subtle polka dot pattern. It adds just enough jazz, while still maintaining itself as a summer neutral. I paired it with a black crop top, which is sexy and kind of sweet at the same time. Classic black heels topped off the look. This outfit is perfect for grabbing before-dinner drinks on the patio and enjoying some wine while watching the summer sun set.
